Judge rejects appeal by Ábalos over passport retention

The judge investigating the “Koldo” case – Leopoldo Puente – has rejected the request of former minister José Luis Ábalos to recover his passport.

In his resolution, Puente has pointed out the considerable ‘incriminating power’ of three properties associated with Ábalos in the framework of the Koldo case.

The magistrate imposed bail conditions for the former minister, who is to appear before the court every fifteen days.
