Jay Slater’s Inquest Rules Death Accidental

The inquest into the death of Jay Slater has concluded with Coroner Dr James Adeley determining that Slater died from accidental injuries.

The inquest confirmed that Slater fell between twenty and twenty-five metres while attempting to descend a ravine near Masca in Tenerife last year, resulting in an instant death.

The coroner outlined several contributing factors to the incident, including Slater’s lack of knowledge of the region, dehydration, as well as being under the influence of substances such as cocaine and ecstasy at the time of his death.

Speaking to the press following the inquest, Slater’s mother – Debbie Duncan – gave a heartfelt tribute, stating their lives will never be the same without him.
