First heat warning of the year issued by Aemet

Aemet has issued it’s first heat weather warning of the year, as temperatures on part of the Iberian peninsular are expected to rise today and tomrrow.

A yellow weather warning for extreme temperature has been issued for Castilla-La Mancha tomorrow, as temperatures will rise above 36 ºC, with concerns some areas may see temperatures not usually seen until the height of summer.

Officials are also warning of an increased risk of forest fires, whilst public bathing areas are set to open earlier to allow people to cool off during the unseasonal hot spell.
