Ferrovial votes to move business out of Spain
Shareholders at the Spanish construction group Ferrovial have voted in favour of moving the businesses holding company to the Netherlands, paving the way for a listing on the US stock market.
The vote was taken at the company’s annual general meeting, where preliminary results showed support for the controversial move.
In a statement last month, the Government warned that any move would face close scrutiny by tax officials, however company chairman Rafael del Pino said tax payments in Spain would stay much the same as they are presently.
