El Corte Inglés announces 3,300 job losses
El Corte Inglés has said it has announced a severance package in agreement with unions that will see job losses at local stores nationwide.
Nationwide 3,292 employees are set to leave the department store chain, with a redundancy package that will see staff offered up to two years full pay as well as bonuses for leaving their jobs.
The CCOO, UGT, Fetico and Fasga unions announced their support for the package yesterday.
It was expected that around 3,000 jobs would be lost at the chain, however the final number stands at around 10% higher than initially expected.
