French visitors now require negative covid test to enter Spain
The government has announced that people arriving by land from France must present a negative Covid-19 test following on from a rise in cases in France.
Anyone arriving by land from risk areas will have to present a negative PCR test that was taken within 72 hours prior to their arrival.
There has been concerns over the spread of the virus across the border, following on from reports of French nationals crossing into Spain to visit bars and restaurants which remain closed due to French lockdowns.
The new requirement will not apply to truck drivers, cross-border workers, and people who live within 30km of the border.
