First parts of Spain enter phase 3 of de-escalation
La Graciosa, La Gomera and El Hierro in the Canary Islands, and Formentera in the Balearic Islands, will enter phase 3 of the de-escalation plan today, then penultimate step before returning to a new normality.
The rest of the country remains on either phase 2 or 1. 70% of the country has now advanced to phase 2.
By this time next week however, it’s expected that most of the country will be on phase 3, which may last less than two weeks.
The latest data released by the health ministry reported 96 new cases yesterday, with two people dying due to Covid-19.
