One detained in counterfeit banknote raids

Policia Nacional have discovered a major producer of counterfeit banknotes in Andalusia.

Officers raided a property in Jerez de la Frontera where a specialist printer, along with paper, cartridges, holographic bands and bundles of forged banknotes were discovered.

Thousands of euros worth of fake notes were discovered in the raid, which follows an investigation that began at the end of last year.

One person was detained, who is accused of printing the forged notes.
