Fourteen arrested and three tonnes of hashish confiscated in raids
Fourteen people have been arrested and over three tonnes of hashish confiscated in a series of raids carried out in the Campo de Gibraltar.
Policia Nacional, Guardia Civil and the Tax Agency carried out the raids in properties in Huelva, Málaga and Ceuta.
Investigations began in November 2016 when a speed-boat was spotted to land in Morocco and then cross the Mediterranian sea to the Spanish mainland.
As well as the drugs, boats, vehicles – including one stolen – radios and emergency beacons, firearms and weapons and over €100,000 in cash was discovered in the raids.
