Flood damage estimated at €27m

The damage from the floods at the weekend has been estimated to be in the region of €27m, according to initial surveys in Estepona.

The survey goes on to describe where damage has occured, with major infrastructure networks including roads, rail, paths and buildings being damaged. Farmland and industrial estates have also seen significant loss after the worst flodding in over 30 years.

The clean up and repair operation is now in full force, withover 200 street lights being repaired, as well as 100 locations being earmarked for inital works to repair the road network.
