Torrevieja lifeguards to get drones

Life guards on beaches in Torrevieja are to get a new aid to assist them in life saving duties… Drones.

In what is being called a first in Spain, ‘SalvaDron’ will be operating in select locations in the summer months.

The €18,000 drones will be able to get life saving equipment to beach goers quicker than traditional means, and if successful, could be rolled out to other destinations across Spain.
