GALLERY: Hundreds of emergency staff take part in plane crash exercise in Alicante

Over 500 emergency staff across Alicante took part in one of the largest emergency simulations the country has seen this year, when a plane crash was simulated at Alicante-Elche airport.

As well as emergency staff, actors were involved playing the role of victims, with many wearing make-up to simulate serious injury.

The full scale emergency test was carried out on scrubland near to the airport perimiter, and was a simulated air crash.
