Feral cats and kittens treated on Costa Blanca island

A feline protection scheme has been rolled out for the stray cats on the island of Tabarca.

In an effort to control an exploding feline population on the island off of Santa Pola, 160 cats were caught, de-wormed and neutered as part of an animal protection scheme.

Three vets and a number of assistants performed the procedures. Now drones are to monitor the feline colonies to make sure that efforts are working as planned.
