Concerns for local salt marsh

Local residents have raised concerns over a salt marsh that looks to be drying out with the recent drought.

The Las Salinas de Calpe is considered a local beauty spot, but the warm weather is causing it to dry out, with the bottom of the marsh now being visible in places.

1 or the 2 pumps that are in place to top up the water supply has recently broken down, and now there are fears that the local ecosystem could be damaged.
