The deputy-mayor of Molina del Segura and spokesperson for the far-right Vox party in the region, has been criticized by local politicians after he posted a controversial statement on social media.

In response, the Mayor of Molina del Segura, José Ángel Alfonso, has distanced himself and the city council from the incident, stating that Martínez’s comments do not reflect the official stance of the local government.

However, it’s understood he is facing increasing calls to sack his deputy following the post.
