PSOE say no plans for snap election, and maintain Catalan funding restrictions
Meanwhile the PSOE leadership also announced that they do not intend to call a snap general election before the next scheduled poll in 2020.
During a press conference yesterday, PSOE Secretary General Adriana Lastra, said that they intend to follow the current political calendar.
They also announced that they will maintain control of the Catalan regional budget until the next election, or until an agreement is made between the Government in Madrid and the regional Parliament in Barcelona.
It’s understood that the sepratist party PDeCAT, who supported the motion that resulted in Pedro Sanchez gaining power, are to lobby for a return to direct financial autonomy as soon as possible.
