Catalonia imposes further water restrictions
The regional Government in Catalonia has extended water restrictions to a further 271 munincipalities across the region, bringing the total number of areas affected to over 500.

Over half the region is now under water restrictions, due to low rainfall over the last year.
Limits on the use of water in agriculture, industry and recreation have been brought in, whilst drinking water supplies remain unrestricted.
Over a quarter of Spain is now either on alert, or under restrictions due to low water levels.
