Number of cases of coronavirus reported in Spain increases, including four cases in Tenerife
More cases of the corona virus have been reported in Spain. The wife of a doctor who is currently receiving treatment in Tenerife, a man in Castellón, another man in Madrid and a woman in Barcelona have all tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
Four Italian Tourists have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus in Tenerife, all part of the same group that were with a doctor who arrived on the island on the 17th February.
Meanwhile up to 100 guests who arrived on Monday and would have had no contact with the doctor who first presented with the virus may be leaving the hotel this morning.
All four current cases are in isolation whilst further tests are carried out in Madrid. Yesterday the Government approved plans to increase early detection measures nationwide.
Further cases in Barcelona and Valencia are currently under investigation.
