A giant squid – measuring more than three metres in length – has been discovered floating in the ocean in the Canary Islands.
The 200 kilogram beast was found floating in waters between Tenerife and La Gomera.
It had died recently and was retrieved from the sea by local aquatic photographer Teo Lucas and taken to the Spanish Institute of Oceanography centre in the archipelago.
