Burning freight ship to be brought under control
A freight ship that has been out of control since suffering a fire on-board last week, is drifting away from the archipelago.
The MV Cheshire caught fire last week, it has on board over 42,000 tonnes of fertilizer. Yesterday plans were announced to try and place a number of emergency technicians on the ship, in an effort to bring it back under control.
There were initial fears regarding the smoke from the ship being toxic, however the ships owners have said that the vessel is now so far away from the islands, it poses no risk to health.
