Man seriously injured after being hit by boat propellor

A 35-year-old man was seriously injured at the weekend after being struck by a boat propellor in Fuerteventura.

Emergency services were called on Sunday afternoon shortly before 3.15pm to reports of the incident in Muelle Chico, La Oliva.

The man, who is understood to have suffered serious injuries to one of his legs. He was taken for emergency treatment to Hospital General de Fuerteventura where his condition is understood to be serious, but stable.
