Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested seven individuals, including six men and one woman, as they cleared two occupied buildings, El Kubo and La Ruïna, in La Bonanova, Barcelona.
The five-hour long eviction, ordered by a court in the city, involved three hundred police officers and the use of fire-resistant equipment.
Although the occupants threw flammable liquids and objects at the police, no significant incidents occurred.
The police enlisted the help of mountain police and firefighters to remove three occupants who resisted eviction.
The buildings will now be returned to the Sareb, which plans to increase surveillance to prevent further occupations.

Doctors at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona have successfully separated two siamese twins from Mauritania, who were born on October and connected by the upper abdomen.
The five-hour operation involved medical professionals from different disciplines and the babies were transferred to Spain in a military medical plane at the end of last month.
