Vox councillor faces resignation call after gun gesture

There have been calls for a Vox councillor in Sabadell to resign after he appeared to simulate a gunshot to the back of his head during a council meeting.

César Gil made the gesture towards an adviser from the Comuns who was sitting in the public gallery.

The PSC and Comuns have called for his resignation and are considering disciplinary and legal action.

Vox says the gesture has been taken out of context, describing the interpretation as false and saying Gil was referring to alleged violence by ETA.
