Further tanks and military vehicles sent to Ukraine

The Ministry of Defence has confirmed that another military aid package has been sent to war-torn Ukraine.

In a press statement issued yesterday afternoon, they confirmed that four Leopard 2 tanks are among a military equipment and humanitarian aid package en route to the country.

Armoured personnel carriers, cargo trucks and ambulances – including two that are armoured – were also included in the shipment, which left Santander this week.

Officials have said they expect the vehicles to arrive in Ukraine at the start of next month.
