Spanish volunteer killed in Ukraine while fighting against Russia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that a twenty-six-year-old Spanish volunteer named Pau has been killed whilst serving in the Ukrainian Foreign Legion.

The Ministry confirmed that it is currently in communication with Pau’s family and is making preparations for the repatriation of the deceased individual’s body.

The exact cause and circumstances surrounding his death have yet to be confirmed.

Pau was part of a group consisting of twelve Spaniards who travelled to Ukraine in May 2022 to provide assistance to the Ukrainian army following Russia’s invasion of the country.
