Spanish satellite due to go into orbit next year Minister announces
The Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Pedro Duque, has announced that the Spanish satellite – Ingenio – will launch at the end of next year.
The satellite, will will provide high resolution images of the earths surface, will be launched on a Vega rocket, and is expected to spend up to 7 years in space.
The satellite is planned to be part of the Spanish Earth Observation Satellite program.

During the presentation, he also announced that Spain will host the next Ministerial Council of the European Space Agency, which will be held in Seville.
