The tourism sector has reached new record figures between January and April, welcoming 24 million visitors, a 14.5% increase from last year.
The increase in arrivals resulted in 31.5 billion euros being spent across the country, an increase of 22.6%.
The average spend per tourist rose to 1,221 euros – according to the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu.
