Pedro Sanchez to visit China and meet Xi Jinping at end of March
Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has accepted an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping to make a state visit to Beijing at the end of the month.
Mr. Sanchez is due to be in China next week it was confirmed by his chief of staff Félix Bolaños.
It’s believed that the Spanish and Chinese leaders will meet to discuss China’s peace proposals for Ukraine, as the forthcoming chair of the EU’s presidency.
Whilst at an EU summit in Brussels, Mr. Sanchez said he wishes to hear first hand China’s proposals for bringing peace to Ukraine, as well as to hold commercially focused meetings with trade bodies in the country.
