Hundred road workers killed in five years on nations roads

One hundred people are known to have died in incidents whilst working on the nation’s roads over the last five years, according to a study released this week.

Half of those who lost their lives are maintenance workers, according to the research issued by the Association in Infrastructure.

The report went on to say however that the number of deaths in the last twelve months has fallen. There were three reported deaths last year, more than half that of the two years before.
