Detention in Drug Prescription Fraud Case

Guardia Civil have detained a twenty-year-old man on suspicion of document forgery and identity theft as part of a prescription fraud investigation.

Investigators are looking into fifty eight individuals linked to the purchase of fake prescriptions and psychotropic medications.

The case began when a concerned parent in Capdepera noticed their child acting erratically, and discovering medication that had been sent via post, which was from a doctor the child had never seen.

Further arrests are expected in the coming days as the investigation continues.
