Controversial bull running event banned

A controversial bull running event that featured balls of fire being attached to bulls horns has been banned in Benitachell.

Both bou embolat and bou encaixonat versions of bull running have been banned on animal welfare grounds.

Other Marina Alta towns with bull-running traditions like Ondara and Javea have already prohibited these types of events.
