PP warn they will take senate no-shows to Supreme Court

Partido Popular leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo says his party will take the government’s refusal to have ministers appear before the Senate to the Supreme Court.

Feijóo made the announcement during a visit to Ceuta, where he accused the government of failing to provide parliament with explanations over the migration crisis.

The PP has an absolute majority in the Senate and has been seeking appearances from several ministers, including Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska.

The government has disputed the opposition’s criticism of its handling of the crisis.
