CNI warning dispute deepens as government faces scrutiny over Ceuta migrant surge
The Government is facing questions over whether intelligence services warned of last month’s mass migrant entry into Ceuta.
Defence Minister Margarita Robles told Congress that the CNI warned the Government Delegation in Ceuta on July 29 about a call on social media for people to enter the city by sea the following day.

However, Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska says there was no report warning of an entry on the scale that eventually occurred.
The Government Delegation in Ceuta has also said it received no report predicting the mass arrival.
Robles has apologised to people who felt abandoned during the crisis and said the situation must not happen again.
