Audiencia Nacional seeking information regarding migrant crisis intelligence

The Audiencia Nacional has asked Guardia Civil to report whether it received any advance warnings before the mass migrant crossings into Ceuta, as the judicial investigation into the crisis continues.

Judge María Tardón has requested information on whether any intelligence or operational reports in the days leading up to the crossings could have alerted authorities to what was about to happen.

She has also requested details of the emergency response and rescue operation, while investigators continue examining whether the mass arrivals were the result of a coordinated action organised by a criminal network.

The investigation remains at a preliminary stage, and no conclusions have yet been reached.
