Army treating scabies outbreak in Ceuta
The Spanish Army has confirmed an outbreak of scabies affecting 24 military personnel in Ceuta.
The cases are being treated and the Defence Ministry has activated health protocols, including the disinfection of military facilities.
The Army says there is no evidence linking the outbreak to the recent mass arrival of migrants into Ceuta, noting that two of the cases were diagnosed before the migrant crossings.
Health officials are monitoring the situation and measures have been put in place to prevent further transmission.
