Two arrested on suspicion of series of jewel thefts

Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested two Albainian men on suspicion of theft, after they were found with jewels in Barcelona.

The pair are understood to have been detained with over €9000 worth of jewels that they could not account for.

It’s understood the pair carried out a number of robberies in France, before crossing the border. One of them had an international arrest warrant pending for similar crimes carried out in Italy.

Another four in the gang were detained in France as part of a joint operation.
