Four dead, and thousands without power as Storm Gloria moves northwards
Hundreds of thousands of people were left without electricity in the north east of the country yesterday after heavy snow and rainfall.

Four people have been killed by Storm Gloria since Sunday, and three remain missing, with high winds, snow and freezing temperatures hitting the Mediterranean coast.
In Girona, 220,000 people were left without power, according to emergency services, whist 2,600km of roads were covered with snow.
Weather agency Aemet has issued amber and yellow weather alerts for rough seas and heavy rain in the Mediterranean coastal areas from Valencia to Barcelona, with the storm finally expected to move into France by Thursday.
