Death of Toddler in Hot Car Investigated in Tarragona

A two and a half year old boy has died in Valls, Tarragona, following an incident where he was left locked inside a car.

Emergency services received an alert at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, to reports that someone was trapped inside of a car.

Emergency services attempted to resuscitate the boy after he was freed from the vehicle but were unsuccessful, and he was declared dead at the scene.

The child’s father was treated at the scene for shock following the incident.

Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
