Murder investigation launched after child shot dead

A murder investigation has been launched in a suburb of Barcelona after a 15-year-old boy was shot in the early hours of Monday morning.

Yesterday Mossos d’Esquadra confirmed that a person has been arrested in connection to the shooting, which took place at a home in the Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà district.

Police were called at around 5am yesterday morning to reports of a person being found in a street who was seriously injured, despite the actions of emergency services the child was declared dead at the scene.
