Jet2 Flight Diverts to Spain After Passenger Dies
A Jet Two flight from Tenerife to Nottingham made an emergency landing in Spain on Thursday, after a passenger, believed to be in his seventies, died onboard.
The aircraft diverted to Santiago Rosalia de Castro Airport after declaring a medical emergency.
Emergency services responded promptly upon landing, but sadly, the individual was declared dead shortly thereafter.
The nationality of the deceased man has not yet been confirmed.
In a statement, a Jet2 spokesperson acknowledged the incident, confirming that the flight diverted to attend to a customer in urgent need of medical attention.
They expressed their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased during this challenging time.
