Interior Minister outlines plans for changes to a number of laws

Interior Minister, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, has unveiled proposals that will see a number of laws either repealed of amended.

These include the repeal of the controversial “gag law”, as well as changes to gender violence, people trafficking and hate crime legislation.

The minister also announced plans for changes in traffic law, which would see city centre speed limits reduced to 30km/h.

The changes were announced in a meeting of the congressional committee yesterday.
