AEMET prepares weather forecasts for solar eclipse
AEMET is continuing preparations for next week’s total solar eclipse on 12 August, which is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to northern and central Spain.
The meteorological agency will provide dedicated weather forecasts to help eclipse watchers find the best viewing locations, while authorities are advising travellers to plan journeys carefully as exceptionally heavy traffic is expected across many of the regions along the path of totality.
People intending to watch the eclipse are also being reminded to use certified solar viewing glasses and never look directly at the Sun without appropriate eye protection.
