Public health spending lower, but more effective according to EU survey

Spending in public health in Spain is below the EU average, yet is more efficient than other member states – thats according to a report issued by the European Commission.

The report also went on to find that Spain has the highest life expectancy in the bloc, fewer deaths from preventable causes and higher survival rates from cancer.

Whilst the country only spends just under 10% of its GDP in the health care system, the primary care and prevention policies are among the best on the continent.
