Ciudadanos makes bid for grand coalition with PSOE and PP

Acting spokesperson for Ciudadanos, Inés Arrimadas has written to the leaders of PSOE and Podemos to discuss her proposals to form a grand coalition government, which would see PSOE, PP, Ciudadanos and Navarra Suma form a Government – at the expense of Unidos Podemos.

The letter asks for the meeting once the latest members of the Cortes are sworn in, which is today.

La Moncloa is understood to have accecpted the invite, however it is not expected that any meeting will be held until later in the week once Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has completed international diplomatic commitments.
