Government refuses to confirm Robles appearance before Senado

The government has not confirmed that Defence Minister Margarita Robles will appear in the Senate on 18 August, despite an announcement by the PP.

The government says it will respond to the request today.

The proposed appearance concerns the government’s handling of the recent migration crisis in Ceuta. The PP has a majority in the Senate and has been pressing ministers to provide explanations over the crisis.
