Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja to hand out thousands of paper bags to highlight plastic waste

The Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja is to hand out 10,000 reusable paper bags over the Easter period in an effort to raise awareness over consumption of plastics.

The initiative was announced by The Councilor for Commerce, Manuela Osuna, earlier this week.

Half of the bags have been given to shops and retailers in the area, with the rest being handed out during processions.
