5.1 magnitude quake rocks La Palma

A 5.1 magnitude quake has rocked the island of La Palma – the strongest quake since the start of the siesmic cluster.

The quake was detected at 7.24 local time on Saturday morning, at a depth of 35km underground.

Data shows the epicentre of the quake was in the Villa de Mazo area, south east of the main eruption site.

There has been no reports of any damage or injuries due to the quake.
