Airlines forecast another record breaking year for tourism
Airlines to the region have hinted towards another record-breaking year, after passenger forecasts suggest an increase in passenger numbers of 13% compared to last year.
Airlines have seen a significant rise in bookings from Sweden, Italy and the Netherlands. UK passenger numbers are also forecast to rise around 17% compared to 2016.
The domestic market is the only one at present that shows no sign of growth, however this year’s calendar, and a change in airline routes being blamed for a 7% drop in Spanish visitors.
