The largest telescope in an international network which is able to look back to shortly after the big-bang has been opened in La Palma.
The Minister of Science, Pedro Duque, helped bring the LST-1 telescope online yesterday afternoon.
Being able to detect minute levels of gamma radiation, it will be able to detect particles that were created shortly after the creation of the universe.
