Women across Spain will be partaking in a nationwide strike tomorrow as part if International Womans Day.
The strike – which will see women from across the country stop for two hours – is being held to highlight gender inequality in pay and conditions.
On average, women earn nearly 15% lower salaries for eqivalent jobs. The protest also aims to highlight gender violence, after 48 women were murdered by their partners last year in Spain.
The action is open to those who are not unionised, and is hoped that female students will also partake in the action.
